What I Learned From Exercising

“I hated every minute of training, but I said, 'Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.' ”
– Muhammad Ali, Boxer

If there was a competition for the laziest people in the world I could be the 2nd. I'm not that lucky to be first. To tell you the truth I started exercising again after a month of travelings and designing lessons I attended online. It's not that comfortable to exercise and make a body workout. If you do it for 30 minutes it's even harder. But, do you know what? I lose the idea of time as soon as I start the workout. Just 30 seconds of pushups and I'm ready! I just imagine myself in an isolated island where I have a concrete floor and a high bar and I have nothing else to do. I start and I go with it. And when I'm finished I look at the clock and see that it took me 30 minutes! If you try it by yourself you will see how it's unbelievable. When you start you will think that it's gonna be eternity to finish it all and when you finish you feel like you only did it for 10 minutes. And that's most relaxing thing I've ever seen.

Exercising taught me:

  • time loses its meaning when I dedicate myself to something
  • starting brings eternity
  • habits make me stronger and feel more energy
  • there can be thousands of articles about exercising, but it's only me who will decide
  • energy brings more energy
  • and that's why habits bring new habits

And yes, losing the track of one habit, mostly makes you lose another one. That's why try to keep doing what you have started and keep climbing the rocks. If you let the rope go off of your hands you will fall again. And you need to start again. But don't be afraid, in this life the ropes never end.

So, why not to exercise? Why not to be isolated from internet and do something new? Do it yourself, at least once. Feel it! And tell me more about it.
