Mind-Blowing Quotes That Shaped My Life

Today I'm gonna show you the quotes by the people who have had influence on me by the simple words they could write or say. Although it is hard to find the right words for the right situations and our feelings, some people could find them and show us that we can really change something by simple and sincere word. Check them out.

1. All of us had some problems in our lives. Some could be too hard to bear. Observing the time going slowly during those times... Dalai Lama's words helped me to take them easy, relax and just mindfully think of what I could do. Nothing to worry about.

“If you have fear of some pain or suffering, you should examine whether there is anything you can do about it. If you can, there is no need to worry about it; if you cannot do anything, then there is also no need to worry.”  (Dalai Lama)

2. I gave up smoking thanks to Tao Te Ching. Strange uh? Not really. It actually influenced all of my habits (mostly bad ones) and the way I observe the world.

"Hence always rid yourself of desires in order to observe its secrets;
But always allow yourself to have desires in order to observe its manifestations."    (Lao Tzu - "Tao Te Ching")

3. No comment for that.

"A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both."    (François-René de Chateaubriand)

4.   These words still do something with me... It deserves to be written on the wall. Watch the video.

Let’s suppose, I do this often in vocational guidance of students, they come to me and say, well, "we’re getting out of college and we have the faintest idea what we want to do". So I always ask the question, "what would you like to do if money were no object? How would you really enjoy spending your life?" (Alan Watts)

5. I still have these words on my wall. I read it everyday. Kind of a habit. Reminds me that I'm here to do something I want.

“If you're going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don't even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery--isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you'll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.”

 (Charles BukowskiFactotum)

6. Master of guitar! Sure, I hated the first time I started learning pentatonic guitar scales, HTML, CSS coding and when I learned designing. Thanks to this guy, I knew what I was getting into.

Sometimes you want to give up the guitar, you'll hate the guitar. But if you stick with it, you're gonna be rewarded.
(Jimi Hendrix)

7. If you smoke a cigarette, do it with all your mind. Stop thinking how bad it is. Really, not kidding. I'd say: meditate on your cigarette, bitch!

“There is a saying when you sit, sit. When you stand, stand. What ever you do don’t wobble. Once you make your choice do it with all your spirit. Don’t be like the evangelist that thought about praying while making love to his wife and making love to his wife while praying.
It’s better to make a mistake with the full force of your being than to carefully avoid mistakes with a trembling spirit."
(Dan Millman)

8. Wow, aren't we used to think even when we don't want to? Try writing and you'll see how ideas go through your fingers to your keyboard hardly ever stopping.

Writing, to me, is simply thinking through my fingers.
(Isaac Asimov)

9. He studied philosophy at The University of Washington and beat Chuck Norris. Who is this?
“Be water, my friend“. Water doesn’t stop when there is an obstacle. It will go around, over, under, or any other way until it gets through. It doesn’t stop until it reaches where it needs to go.
(Bruce Lee)

10. Or do both...

“Either write something worth reading or do something worth writing.”
  (Benjamin Franklin)

11. Hell yeah! Thank you, Leo or I was still looking for all opportunities all the time without concentrating ona single thing.

You're always going to miss out on something.

(Leo Babauta)
